Jon Díez Domínguez (Algorta, 1979). Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising and Public Relations by the UPH/EHU and direction of photography by the E.S.C.A.C (Barcelona film school). He began his career in 2003 with the short film 7:35 AM (2003) written and directed by Nacho Vigalondo, winner of over 60 festivals and nominated for the 2005 Academy Awards in the live action fiction category. Since then, he combines his fiction works (feature films, short films, series) with music videos and commercials for brands such as Movistar, McDonalds, Iberia, San Miguel, Roca, Nestlé, Johnson & Johnson.
2011. Extraterrestial is premiered in Toronto TIFF 2011, Austin Fantastic Fest and San Sebastián Film Festival. Released by Focus Features in the U.S.
2014. Open Windows, thriller directed by Nacho Vigalondo, is his first feature film with international cast: Elijah Wood, Sasha Gray and Neil Maskell. Premiered in the South by Southwest Festival 2014 and released by Cinedigm in U.S.
2014. Comedy Central premieres the TV series El fin de la comedia. The series portrays the ordinary life of a peculiar stand-up comedian, Ignatius Farray.
2014. Purgatorio, directed by Pau Teixidor, is a horror film starring Oona Chaplin and Sergi Mendez. Released in the Málaga Film Festival 2014.
2015. Two feature films released this year: Negociador written and directed by Borja Cobeaga, and the musical comedy Los miércoles no existen, written and directed by Peris Romano.
2016. El ataúd de cristal, feature directed by Haritz Zubillaga, premieres at the International Fantastic Film Festival of Sitges. TVE premieres the mini-series La sonata del silencio, directed by Iñaki Peñafiel and Peris Romano
2017. El fin de la comedia (Season 2) is broadcasted on Movistar + and Comedy Central.
2017. Fe de etarras, a black comedy directed by Borja Cobeaga will be premiered at the San Sebastian International Film Festival.
